Julianne Hough: Going Footloose!

It's been rumored for weeks, and now we can confirm the report: Julianne Hough will star opposite Chace Crawford in the upcoming remake of Footloose.

The role will be the Dancing with the Stars professional's first big screen role; Crawford, meanwhile, signed on a month ago to star in the movie, after Zac Efron opted out.

Production will begin in March. The 1984 original spawned one of the biggest-selling soundtracks of all-time and made a star of Kevin Bacon.

Roland Kickinger: The New Conan the Barbarian?

Has Roland Kickinger landed the lead role in the upcoming remake of Conan the Barbarian?

Lionsgate and Nu Image/Millennium are in talks with a 41-year-old Austrian actor to portray the title character that Arnold Schwarzenegger made famous in the 1982 classic movie.

If he does land the part, there's a good chance it will be due to the striking similarities between Kickinger and the Governor of California. To wit:

  • Both are bodybuilders-turned-actors;
  • Both hail from Central European countries.
  • Like Schwarzenegger, Kickinger had a role as a T-800 in the Terminator" franchise (in Terminator Salvation).
  • Kickinger actually played a Conan-era version of Schwarzenegger in See Arnold Run, a 2005 A&E biopic about the actor-turned-politician.

In a two decades, let's just hope that Kickinger doesn't help to run the California economy into the ground.

Movie Producer Confirms Talk of Indiana Jones V

Shia LaBeouf pretty much confirmed it earlier in the week, and now a man behind the scenes is also openly talking about the possibility of a fifth Indiana Jones movie.

Speaking to Empire magazine, producer Frank Marshall said that "ideas would be worked on with a view to green-lighting production sooner rather than later."

"It's really about the script," said Marshall, who has produced all four movies in the franchise. "Once we see that, we'll see. We're not going to wait another 20 years. We'd all love to make another one. I'm anxious to hear the idea!"

Jackpot!

As for Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, and Harrison Ford, Marshall left no doubt that are all up for another outing with the iconic character.

"We had a great time making the last one and, as Harrison said, we need to make this one soon. We're not getting any younger."

Would you see another Indiana Jones movie?
