The trio will be joining Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner, Shirley MacLaine, Bradley Cooper and Ashton Kutcher in the movie.

Valentine's Day is about five slightly connected stories about a V-Day in Los Angeles.  Topher Grace will play a mailroom worker in the town's biggest agency who's dating Hathaway's character.

Emma Roberts, who's appearing for the first time with her Aunt Julia on screen, will play a teen who wants to lose her virginity to her boyfriend.  Elizondo plays MacLaine's husband.

A date for production has not been set yet.

Janet Jackson: Reprising Role in Married Sequel

While this hardly seems like the best timing, Variety has announced that Janet Jackson will be reprising her role as Patricia in Tyler Perry's sequel to the 2007 Why Did I Get Married?

Janet, whose brother Michael just died of cardiac arrest (possibly from an overdose) yesterday, played a successful author and psychologist who preferred to analyze other peoples' problems rather than solve her own marriage.

Jackson is the first star announced in the cast (besides Perry) for the film, which is entitled Why Did I Get Married Too.  They have plenty of time since the film isn't coming out until April 2nd and no one pumps out movies faster than Perry.

Perry's other movie, I Can Do Bad All by Myself, is due out September 11th and stars Perry as his infamous Madea character.

Transformers 2 Breaks Wednesday Opening Day Record

First, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen broke the Wednesday midnight showing record with $16 million.  Now it broke the Wednesday opening day record with $60.6 million.

One wonders if it would have beaten The Dark Knight's opening day if it did a weekend opening instead of a Wednesday.  Either way, Revenge of the Fallen is set to make a lot of money for Paramount and company.

The next goal for this juggernaut is to beat Spider-Man 2's $152.4 million it earned over 5 days when it opened on the same Wednesday back in 2004.  Our money is on the autobots.

Funny Quotes from The Proposal

While it probably won't win any Academy Awards, the adorable romantic comedy, The Proposal definitely had some great lines mostly thanks to the wonderful Grandma Annie.

Of course, the movie's stars Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock also delviered some great lines thanks to their on screen chemistry and the awkward situation they were put in.

Andrew and Maggie at INS

Here's a sample of some of our favorite The Proposal quotes,

Grandma Annie [upon being introduced to Margaret]: Do you prefer Margaret or "Satan's Mistress"? | permalink
Margaret Tate: [surprised to see Andrew at her office] Why are you panting?
Andrew Paxton: Cause I've been running.
Margaret Tate: From Alaska? | permalink
Margaret Tate: What am I allergic to?
Andrew Paxton: Pine nuts, and the full spectrum of human emotion. | permalink
Andrew Paxton: Margaret, will you marry me?... 'cause I'd like to date you. | permalink

Ryan Reynolds to Star in Buried

After just starring in the light-hearted romantic comedy, The Proposal, Ryan Reynolds is about to get a lot darker.  Reynold's next project will be the independent film, Buried.

In Buried, Reynolds will star as a civilian contractor who's kidnapped in Iraq and awakens buried in a coffin in the desert, armed only with a cell phone, a candle and a knife.

Rodrigo Cortes will be directing and production begins next month in Barcelona.

Hitman 2: Screenwriter Hired

Despite Hitman being universally panned by critics, the movie adaptation of the popular video game did gross $100 million.  So obviously it comes as no surprise that Twentieth Century Fox is looking to extract a little more money out of that cash cow.

The studio has hired screenwriter Kyle Ward to begin to write the followup to the 2007 film.  The sequel will rejoin the title character, Agent 47, at a low point. The movie will follow him as he builds himself back up psychologically and physically to reclaim his mantle as the world's most feared assassin.

Agent 47 Up Close

The film will contain elements from the upcoming video game, Hitman 5, which is due out in late 2010.  Hey if nothing else we'll get some great action scenes and the witty one liners that made for some great Hitman quotes in the original.

Watchmen Director's Cut Gets Limited Theatrical Release

To promote the release of the DVD and Blu-Ray release of Watchmen, Warner Brothers is doing a one-week theatrical release for Zack Snyder's director cut of Watchmen beginning July 17th.

The theatrical release will be done in only four venues that are located in Dallas, Los Angeles, Minneapolis and New York.  The rest of us suckers will have to wait until July 21 to pick up the discs and watch it at home.

Nite Owl and Silk Spectre

So, who's lucky enough to live in one of those four cities to send us the new Watchmen quotes and scenes?

The Box Movie Trailer

While its premise is completely ridiculous, somehow the upcoming thriller, The Box, starring Cameron Diaz and James Marsden doesn't look that terrible.

In the movie, when the husband (Marsden) loses his job, the couple has a chance to make a million dollars.. if they press a button that will kill a random person.  Will they do it?

Well, in order to make the movie more than 5 minutes long, we're going to assume so.  Anyways, here's the trailer.

Zack Snyder Discusses 300 Sequel

For over a year now there's been talk of a follow-up to 2007's wildly popular 300.   Now, director Zack Snyder reveals some new details about the potential sequel.

Snyder says that, "I know for a fact that Frank [Miller] is writing right now."  Like the original, Miller is first putting the story in graphic novel form before it makes it to a screenplay.

Apparently Miller is still "drawing away and seems to be knee-deep in it. I think he's going to head back to Greece again and do another reconnaissance."

300 Phalanx

As far as the style of the sequel, Synder says, "I think we would use the same technology... I don't want it to look too Star Wars-ian... Just from what [Miller] told me, it would be bigger as far as landscape and terrain. We're going to see Athens and the Aegean and other places. There would be an opportunity for bigger visions, though I'd hope for the same aesthetic. The tech we used for '300' was not a revolution. It's basically what the weatherman has. Look, instead of Accuweather it's Sparta... It's going to be the same way, but on crazier steroids."

Wow, we can already imagine the new 300 quotes we're going to be stuck hearing for years to come after this sequel.

Christian Bale Losing Weight for The Fighter

Despite having two films out this summer, Terminator Salvation and Public Enemies, Bale hasn't actually filmed any scenes in almost a year.

Now, Bale is preparing to return to production next month with The Fighter, which co-stars Mark Wahlberg.  The film tells the real life story of “Irish” Micky Ward (Wahlberg) as he enters the world of light welterweight with training from his brother, Dickie Eklund (Bale).

A Bale of Hotness

According to Bale he's "had to loose a great deal of weight because he was a welterweight."  Hopefully all that starving doesn't make Bale grump and snap at anyone on set.  Too soon?
