Amy Adams Joins Cast of The Fighter

The cast of The Fighter just got a lot cuter.

Amy Adams has signed on to star opposite Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale in the drama, which focuses on the life of boxer "Irish" Mickey Ward (Wahlberg) and trainer-brother Dick Eklund (Bale). The film chronicles their early days on the streets of Lowell, MA, as Eklund was hooked on drugs and Ward eventually won a world title in London.

Adams will portray Charlene, a bartender and former college high-jumper that dates Mickey.

New, Scanned Images from Jennifer's Body

While no photos from Jennifer's Body can top the Megan Fox topless set pic we uncovered a couple months ago, the following pair are pretty bloody cool.

Empire Magazine has scanned in a couple images from the Diablo Cody-penned vampire flick, which stars Fox as a possessed cheerleader who turns into a murderer of her classmates.

Amanda Seyfried, also pictured below, co-stars.

Coming to Transformers 3: More of Leo Spitz

As Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen continues to rake in serious cash at the box office, buzz is already starting over the inevitable, eventual sequel.

According to an article in The Los Angeles Times, Ramon Rodriguez - who plays Leo Spitz in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - won't simply return for a follow-up; he'll be featured more prominently.

Leo Spitz

Director Michael Bay, speaking from his office a few weeks before the current movie's release, expressed significant pride to the newspaper in his discovery of Rodriguez.

"I've worked with big stars, people like Will Smith, Sean Connery and Bruce Willis, but casting is a weird thing, it takes you places you don't expect," Bay said. "We went looking for a sidekick in this movie, Shia's sidekick, and we find this new kid who really pops on screen. I think he’s going to have a real bright career. It's great to work with big stars, but it's always fun to discover people."

Release Date, Director Confirmed for Eclipse

Fans are excited enough about the November 20 release of New Moon.

But it's never too early to start the hype for the next film in The Twilight Saga franchise: we can now confirm that Eclipse will open on June 30, 2010.

The movie will film in Vancouver from August 17 through October 31; and David Slade (30 Days of Night) will direct.

For those unfamiliar with the story of Eclipse

Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger, as Seattle is besieged by a series of killings.

In the middle of it all, she's forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob, aware that her choice will likely ignite the struggle between vampires and werewolves.

Zack Snyder Talks Sucker Punch, Vanessa Hudgens

Zack Snyder, the director behind action movies such as 300 and Watchmen, is already at work on his next project.

Sucker Punch will focus on a group of institutionalized young girls that use fantasy to escape from their horrible, everyday lives. It stars Jamie Chung, Jena Malone and Vanessa Hudgens.

Wait... Vanessa Hudgens? From High School Musical? In a Zack Snyder movie?!?

“She rehearsed, she did the audition for the scene. I wasn’t sure at first – [the casting people] were like ‘Oh, Vanessa’s coming’ and I was ‘Oh, okay - that sounds cool’ but I didn’t know what to think," Snyder told MTV.

“Then I saw the tape and I literally went ‘Wow, she’s good.' She’s really good. Then I talked to her about what she’d have to do.”

The director said that fans of High School Musical will barely even recognize Hudgens in this new role.

“You’re going to see her shooting machine guns, fighting, beating the sh-t out of people,” he said. “It’s funny - we sat her down for her physical evaluation, and she was really athletic. She’s a dancer, so all the choreography is gonna be fun for her.”

New Moon Scoop: Michael Welch on Movie Within the Movie

It's a beloved, unusually comedic moment in the New Moon novel:

Bella tries to get over Edward by going on what becomes a three-way date with Jacob and Mike Newton.

In a new interview with MTV, actor Michael Welch - who plays Newton - goes into detail about the outing. He specifically explains the unique movie-within-the-movie that viewers will see on the big screen.

On the date, Bella, Mike and Jacob take in a horror film. But director Chris Weitz chose to actually insert his own made-up film into the mix.

"The film is called Face Punch," said Welch. "It's an action film. We started out with a few other comical names, but it turned out those were actual films so we couldn't use those titles."

Does this fake movie play any significant role in the story? No. But are fans clamoring for every nugget of New Moon news they can get? Oh yes.
