Ghostbusters 3 Update: Venkman as a Role Model?

Harolod Ramis recently spoke to MTV about the highly buzzed-about Ghostbusters 3.

What role will the former crime-fighting team play in the sequel?

"We're all going to be in it in different kinds of roles. We're going to be the sage mentors. There are going to be young Ghostbusters," Ramis said.

The Emmy-nominated writing team of Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky (co-executive producers of The Office) are writing the movie's screenplay. The duo also wrote this summer's Year One, which Ramis directed.

"Gene and Lee, both of whom I mentored, are now writing the new Ghostbusters," Ramis said. "I'm consulting with them, as is Dan Aykroyd and [original director] Ivan Reitman."

Dragonball Evolution Stars Focus on Future of Franchise

James Marsters and Justin Chatwin - who portray Lord Piccolo and Goku, respectively, in Dragonball Evolution - hope the April release is one of man installments in this franchise.

"I hope [the movie does well] because my character only really gets interesting in the second film, I mean he's interesting now! But his journey is really developed in the script for the second movie," Marsters told IGN.

Does the actor know for sure if there will be a Dragonball sequel?

"All I know is I've been signed to three movies, but I would like to make five - seven of them. You could just pretty much paint by numbers using the wealth of source material to easily get the seven films. There's that much there."

As for Chatwin, he says Dragonball Evolution is merely the set-up for many more movies.

"There's a whole generation of kids waiting to be introduced to Dragonball, so this first movie is really important for that. I mean the main plot is the battle between Piccolo and Goku, but this first film still serves to introduce the characters and where they're from and what they're deals are. And so to cover that ground really takes up most of the first movie."

An NC-17 Rating for Bruno?

As Bruno, Sacha Baron Cohen is unafraid of embarrassing sex acts.

The same can't be said for Motion Picture Association of America, however.

According to a report in The Los Angeles Times, Bruno "has been slapped with an NC-17 rating on its first submission to the Motion Picture Association of America because of numerous sexual scenes that the ratings board considers over the line."

Need an example? In one scene, the main character appears to have anal sex with the cameraman. We see nothing wrong with this, as long as the cameraman was cool with it.

The pair is hoping to have a draft of the sequel complete by Christmas, with the goal to get the cameras rolling in time for a summer 2011 release.

"Obviously we discussed ideas, but we are waiting to see how audiences respond next month," Kurtzman said. "With a franchise rebirth, the first movie has to be about origin. But with a second, you have the opportunity to explore incredibly exciting things. We'll be ambitious about what we'll do."

Adventureland Characters

Gemma Arterton to Star in Clash of the Titans

Gemma Arterton - who got her big break in Quantum of Solace - has signed on to star opposite opposite Sam Worthington in Clash of the Titans.

Arterton will portray the demi-goddess Io.

"My part is... the coolest part," the actress told Empire Magazine, adding that, in contrast to the 1981 original Harry Hamlin movie, this project is "much more about Perseus' mission, and how he deals with being the son of Zeus."
