The Movie Trailer for Crank: High Voltage

On April 17, Jason Statham reprises the role of Chev Chelios in Crank: High Voltage.

In this sequel to the 2006 action flick, Chelios faces off against a Chinese mobster that has stolen his nearly indestructible heart... and replaced it with a battery-powered version that requires regular jolts of electricity to keep working.

We hate it when that happens.

Young, Hilarious Star

As for other movie details, we may not hear about them for awhile.

Ron Howard told Ryan Seacrest at this year's Academy Awards:

"It's looking very much like we're going to make [the movie], but we've now been asked to stop offering any details. It's cloaked in a little mystery, but it's looking good."

The still-untitled film will open on July 15, 2011.

Like the fantasic 1985 movie and, of course, the Hasbro board game on which both flicks are based, Verbinski's project will focus on murder mystery.

Clue Cast

This is the latest Hasbro property headed to the big screen, following Transformers and this summer's G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra.

Earlier this month - seriously! - a Candy Land movie was also announced.

A Clip from Land of the Lost

In this summer's Land of the Lost - a big screen adaption of the classic 1970s TV series - Will Ferrell stars as has-been scientist Dr. Rick Marshall.

He gets sucked back in time - way back into time - and possesses no weapons, few skills and questionable smarts to survive in an alternate universe full of marauding dinosaurs and fantastic creatures.

The movie, which also stars Anna Friel and Danny McBride, comes out on June 5. Follow this article's jump to enjoy a clip from it...

Freida Pinto Snags Role in Woody Allen Movie

From Slumdog Millionaire to a Woody Allen movie, life is good for Freida Pinto.

The actress will follow her role in this year's Best Picture with a part in Allen's next movie. As is always the case with this director's films, details of the project aren't widely known.

We can report, however, that Pinto will join a cast that includes Naomi Watts, Josh Brolin and Anthony Hopkins. Not shabby company.
