Vanessa Hudgens Auditions for Role in New Moon
From High School Musical 3: Senior Year to New Moon?
Numerous sources are reporting that Vanessa Hudgens has auditioned for the role of Leah Clearwater in the upcoming sequel to Twilight.

Ashley Greene, who plays Alice Cullen in the franchise, told reporters on the Golden Globes red carpet last night that Hudgens would "be great," for the role of Leah Clearwater.
The actress added another tidbit on the status of New Moon: "I hear they're doing another rewrite. I'm with you guys - I'm so excited to read it."

i dont think that vanessa should play leah clearwter because she will outshine the rest of the cast beacause like shes a bigger star sort of well shes a disney star and no one wants a disney starin the movie and i think that they should get an unknown actress for leah clearwater cause like the whole cast is mad up of actors who arent well known.SO PLEASE PICK SOMEONE ELSO FOR THE ROLE OF LEAH CLEARWATER DONT PICK VANESSA TO PLAY LEAH CLEARWATER PLEASE DONT!!!

EWWW i don't like her. let her do her high school musical stuff. this isn't the movie 4 her, and i jut cant see her playing the role.
If you put 'her' in then i know people will be more attracted to her peformace and not the story i love. so please don pick anyone but her (not anyone lol but u know what i mean) i dont think she could pull it off anyway (not to be mean) but she aint all rough like i thought my leah would be.

I'm a fifteen year old girl who would gladly go for the role of Leah Clearwater. So if anyone knows how.. I'll outshine her and we won't have to worry about her being on New Moon

Venssa Hudgens would be horrible to play Leah! Her first parts make her seem too sweet and innosent! And Leah is like an orange compaired to an apple to this charicter! If you have read all the books you know how big a pain Leah can be and U just do not picture her like that at all!
I WILL NOT SEE NEW MOON IF SHE IS PICKED!

OMG Venessa Hudgens as Leah Clearwater, uh i dont think so. That would be the worst mistake the producers could make. I'm almost 16 and i would be glad to adition for the roll. Pick anybody else but here, EWW. WE need someone who we all know will be really good for the role, think about this we wouild have to watcher play the part for 3 more movies, I would hate it.

YES!!!! Hudgens would make the best Leah EVER!!!! I'm not a big fan of hers, but she has the face, the body and the attitude to pull this off!! Leah was going to be difficult, but i'd love her as Leah! And shed be likely to KEEP her role, which is just as important to me!! GO VANESSA!!!! Oh yeah, she wasn't that great in high school musical and i think she would pull off the serious role needed here. It would be something new for her and i'm behind her 100%!! She fits in wonderfully with the werewolf group and i know she would make ppl understand sam and jacob a little better. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE put Hudgens in as LEah!!!!!!!!

Oh, please, don't put Vanessa as Leah. No!! She belongs in teenage craps like HSM, and Disney films, but definitely NOT in Twilight!! she would make the worst Leah EVEEEER!!! please don't do this!! No, pleaaase! for all twilight fans. If you like HSM then go and watch Vanessa there but do not stick it up in New Moon. pleeaaase!

I would have to say it would be interesting to see what Vanessa's acting skills can really do. I think if she works on her part and cuts the whole innocent stuff maybe she could play Leah but that would mean she'ld have to have lots of attitude and be pretty mean which acting is truly about not being yourself.
