A sequel to last summer's Sex and the City movie has been pretty much assured for months now.
But the latest issue of Us Weekly confirms that Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis are all officially on board for the follow-up.
"Not all the contracts are signed, but everyone is on board," a source told the tabloid. "It just happened.

Can you picture Dakota Fanning with fangs?
You may have to, as E! Online reports that the 14-year-old child star - who turns 15 on February 23 - is in talks to portray Jane in New Moon, the upcoming sequel to Twilight.
“There were no auditions,” a source said. “They just offered it to her outright, and now they’re in negotiations. They’ve been going back and forth.”

Francis Lawrence, the director of I Am Legend, who was on hand last week at an NBC event at the Television Critics Association press tour.
IGN tracked him down and asked about the rumor of an I Am Legend prequel.
"We're waiting on a script. Will [Smith] and Akiva [Goldsman] and I sat down and talked about it and sort of came up with the bones of an idea," Lawrence said. "We hired a writer to work on it and we're just trying to figure it out."
As for what the prequel might be centered around, the director said:
"I don't want to [give away the plot] yet, just because I think part of the process and what's important to us is to really try and find the right way to getting back into that world. I think we were all really drawn in by the idea of what it would be like to be by yourself in this world, and I think [the challenge] is trying to find a new way of getting in there again, without it feeling like a repeat, a rehash, or it feeling forced, and feeling like there's a new story to tell within that world. So that's what we're trying to figure out."
So much for 2012 being a summer blockbuster.
Sony's Columbia Pictures is delaying the release of Roland Emmerich's thriller, moving it from from July 10 to November 13, two weekends before the lucrative Thanksgiving session.
"We've had such success with the James Bond films in November that we wanted a big tentpole film in that slot this year," Sony distribution president Rory Bruer said Tuesday. "We've got so many films in the summer that this is the perfect answer to that."
Underworld: Rise of the Lycans opens this weekend.

While the Oscar races heat up, Hollywood took a few moments today to celebrate the worst of the worst.
Razzies founder John Wilson announced the nominees for Worst Picture earlier today, as his ceremony is the antithesis of the Academy Awards.
The films considered true train wrecks from 2008 are:
Sorry, Kim Kardashian and Carmen Electra. Your movie was a disaster in more ways than one.
Renée Zellweger stars in New in Town as Lucy Hill, the proverbial fish out of water.
The rich Miami businesswoman feels rather out of place in Minnesota, but don't worry. We have a feeling she'll learn to love her new surroundings.
