Olivia Wilde Dishes on Tron Sequel

Olivia Wilde is speaking out about the upcoming sequel to Tron.

In an interview with Sci Fi Wire, the House star opened up - as most as she could - about the buzzed about follow-up:

The film will be just as impressive for our time as it was in 1982 for the original. The technological advances have, of course, been enormous, and the effects that we have access to have been so revolutionary. ... We saw an incredible advancement in technology with the use of the face replacement in Benjamin Button, and I think that is marking some of what's to come, and certainly .... in the direction of Tron.

Just as far as people being incredibly innovative and taking huge steps forward as far as using technology to create alternative realities. And I think that it's really going to please people that it's going to be just as kind of huge and shocking and just as much of a new movie-watching experience as the first one was.

Kate Hudson Relates to Bride Wars

Kate Hudson was recently asked by ComingSoon.net about her new comedy, Bride Wars.

Can the actress relate to her and/or Anne Hathaway's character in the movie? This was Hudson's reply:

I feel like creatively I'm constantly watching other people and I have so many friends that are all so different and all things are different to other people. So I can relate to a lot whether it's me that's like that or my best girlfriend. I'm so not like Liv in terms of how my girlfriend is and who I sort of based the whole hair thing after.

Liv, Bride Wars

She's in the hair salon like two times a week. She won't dip her foot in water because her hair might get frizzy. That to me is Liv. I can't relate to that, but I can because I know someone who's like that and it cracks me up. But in terms of weddings and stuff I can relate to it because I like to dress up. I like to dress up and I like to have a party. I like to throw parties. I like to bring people together. So I can relate to that. Look, everyone has their own opinion about the sanctity of marriage or what it is that they believe.

I come from two parents that aren't married. Well, I come from one parent who ended up not marrying my other parent. It's sort of a complicated household. So it's a little unconventional how I see it, but I can relate to it. And I got married and it was great and it was a blast. Everyone should do it.

McG to Direct 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Captain Nemo

McG has chosen the first film he'll helm after Terminator Salvation.

Variety reports the director will stand behind the camera for 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Captain Nemo, a family movie that's being fast tracked by Walt Disney Pictures.

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

The flick will be an origin story of Nemo, as he creates his warship, the Nautilus.

The 1954 original 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea was the first live-action film made by Walt Disney; it won three Oscars.

Taylor Lautner Expected to Reprise Role in New Moon

In the next few days, Summit Entertainment is expected to announce its cast for New Moon, the next film based on Stephenie Meyer's successful follow-up to Twilight.

Kristen Stewart will return as Bella Swan; while Robert Pattinson has a lock on his role of Edward Cullen.

But rumors have been swirling about Taylor Lautner's status in the sequel. His character of Jacob is greatly expanded in New Moon... literally!

Totally Taylor

''Jacob is a totally different character in New Moon,'' said Melissa Rosenberg, screenwriter of both Twilight films. ''He's a foot taller and huge — and he's supposed to look 25. It's really a question of whether or not the same actor can play the role.''

Lautner says he's already packed 19 pounds onto his frame, however, and Entertainment Weekly reports that he's now likely to reprise the role of Jacob.

"Everyone would love to keep him. We all think he's the loveliest person ever," Rosenberg said.
