Star Trek is likely to boldly go where numerous high profile movies have gone before: to IMAX theaters.

Even though J.J. Abrams' reboot of this franchise wasn't shot on IMAX cameras (the way that The Dark Knight was), First Showing reports that the movie "will be converted to 70mm for projection on IMAX screens. Star Trek will hit both regular and IMAX theaters everywhere on May 8th next summer."

Meanwhile, here's another new poster for the movie, featuring Zoe Saldana in the role of Nyota Uhura:
