Earlier in the week, though, the two main stars of this epic posed on the red carpet for its world premiere. Here's a look at Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman at the event:

Australia is directed by Baz Luhrmann and is set in northern Australia prior to World War II. It focuses on an English aristocrat (Kidman) who inherits a ranch and reluctantly unites with a stock-man (Jackman) in order to protect the property from a hostile takeover.
