A release date has been announced for Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes remake.

Look for the Warner Bros. Pictures to hit theaters on November 20, 2009.

In the film, Downey Jr. stars as the iconic title character. Jude Law is on board as Holmes' trusted colleague, Watson, a doctor and war veteran who is a formidable ally.

The gorgeous Rachel McAdams, meanwhile, will star as Irene Adler, the only woman ever to have outmaneuvered Holmes and who has maintained a tempestuous relationship with the detective.
