According to The Hollywood Reporter, German actor Til Schweiger has landed a role in Quentin Tarantino's World War II movie Inglorious Basterds. The star's best known American role likely took place in King Arthur.

The film focuses on a French girl's revenge on the Nazis, while also following a band of American Nazi killers. Both story lines eventually converge in typical Tarantino fashion. Diane Kruger will play the role of a German that ends up helping the Nazi hunters infiltrate a movie premiere.

Til Schweiger will play a member of the Nazi killer team, headed by Brad Pitt's character, Lt. Aldo Raine. Others in the cast include:
