The House Bunny Review
Maybe it was her guest starring stint on Entourage, but we adore Anna Farris. That's what we really wanted to like The House Bunny.
But we couldn't get past the tired jokes about dumb blondes and, well, everything else you'd expect about comedies based on Playboy models and sorority girls. Outside of the plot and lack of laughs, however, the movie did have a couple things going for it:
1. Faris was great. She's adorable and charming. No wonder Scary Movie is better than Date Movie, Epic Movie and Superhero Movie.
2. The cameos were fun. Hugh Hefner made an appearance, of course. But so did Shaquille O'Neal, Matt Leinart and others.
The House Bunny might be worth a rental for some rainy Tuesday night next year. But many have been comparing this to an Adam Sandler movie for women. We don't think that's a compliment.
