The Official Transformers 2 Movie Trailer

On June 26, 2009, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen hits theaters nationwide.

It's the most anticipated movie of next summer - and here's a look at its official movie trailer!

New Superman Movie in the Works

In a recent Wall Street Journal article, Warner Bros. Pictures Group President Jeff Robinov said the studio will be reintroducing Superman in a future movie. Critics and fans, of course, were displeased with the results of Superman Returns.

Here is what the article says:

Warner Bros. also put on hold plans for another movie starring multiple superheroes - known as "Batman vs. Superman" - after the $215 million Superman Returns, which had disappointing box-office returns, didn't please executives.

Superman didn't quite work as a film in the way that we wanted it to," said Robinov. "It didn't position the character the way he needed to be positioned." "Had Superman worked in 2006, we would have had a movie for Christmas of this year or 2009. But now the plan is just to reintroduce Superman without regard to a Batman and Superman movie at all.

No other information on the next Superman movie has been released at this time.

A Video Scrapbook for High School Musical 3: Senior Year

Before we get too far ahead of ourselves, hyping up Matt Prokup as the star of High School Musical 4, let's remember that High School Musical 3: Senior Year comes out in October.

Here's a special video scrapbook dedicated to the film:

The New Jason Voorhees

The folks at Bloody Disgusting have posted the first hi-res photo Jason Voorhees (Derek Mears) in Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema's Friday the 13th remake.

Check out the new masked killer, who returns to the big screen on February 13, 2009.

Can you recognize Derek Mears underneath that mask?

Reel Movie Reviews: The House Bunny

ReviewsAnna Faris, Rumer Willis and Katharine McPhee lead the cast of The House Bunny. Among those making cameos in the film are Shaquille O'Neal and Hugh Hefner.

Interesting casting choices for sure. Here's a look at how a few critics are reacting to the comedy...

- As much as the word 'vapid' is thrown around in the movie, it's also the perfect adjective to describe it. There are much better comedies out there right now to waste time on this one... -- ComingSoon.net

- Despite a winning performance by Anna Faris, the film falls on its keister so many times that before long the perky pinkness turns bruising black-and-blue... -- Philadelphia Inquirer

- The purpose of this comedy is to serve as a showcase for Anna Faris, whose sunny disposition and solid comic timing make The House Bunny more enjoyable than it ought to be... -- Associated Press

- By imposing a predictable message, it obscures the satire... -- USA Today

Possible Terminator Salvation Spoiler: Arnold Schwarzenegger's Voice to Be Heard

Reports that Arnold Schwarzenegger will appear on screen in Terminator: Salvation have been shot down.

However, the film's producer, Moritz Borman, may have started a new rumor when asked if the Governor would make his presence known via voiceover.

Borman, who produced all three previous Terminator movies, told Wired.com:

"Schwarzenegger is governing California. He will not be, as a person, in the film."

The wording above seems to leave the door to some kind of voiceover, right, Moritz?

"I'm not going to answer the question about what we're trying, or what we want, or what we're toying with," said Borman. "It's really up to what fits in the film or not. Maybe his voice, or maybe not.  It's really not settled."

Samuel L. Jackson Speaks on Lakeview Terrace

Lakeview Terrace depicts Samuel L. Jackson's character of Abel Turner as a police officer that wants to rid his neighborhood of an interracial couple. It's controversial stuff.

The actor recently sat down with MovieWeb and answered the following question:

Did you attempt to create your own back-story for this character?
I try to make a reality base for the character and give him an educated background. He has a military background. I sit and think about what his marriage was like. What happened. How it all went down. There have been several scenarios as to what happened with this officer and his wife. There was a time when this guy had a wife. Their relationship wasn't so good. Now he doesn't have a wife, but interesting things about their relationship still come up. We have created a distinction for his attitude.

There were things that were written that didn't play out very well. For me, explaining racism is not something you can necessarily do. Having grown up in the segregated South, a lot of the time you don't need a reason. Someone doesn't like you. You don't like them. You can be taught not to like a specific group. Maybe something will happen to you. They say kids aren't born to hate. Well, I don't know that. Maybe they are.

Lakeview Terrace Picture

Some people have different theories about what you are born with and what you are not born with. There comes a time in your life when you have to make a decision. Only you know what is right and what is wrong. Only you can decide about what you've been told concerning a specific group of people. Maybe you know those things aren't true. Human beings are human beings. But maybe you are an ignorant human being.

Then you will believe whatever you think you want to believe. But in life, you can't not like a person just because you don't like them. In this, I didn't think it was important to describe the specific things going on inside Abel's head. Or how he got to that point in his life. Cops work with other cops. At a certain point you stop being black, white, brown, whatever. You become blue. But on a certain line, I don't believe that either. Inside the police department, there are separate fraternal orders.

At a certain point, they are blue. But also at a certain point, you will see how police officers respond to different sects or races of people. At some point, the film will describe Abel's reasoning behind his actions. But that might not exactly account for why he's been like this, because he hasn't been like this all his life. There was one specific incident that made him the way he is now.

Reel Movie Stars: Matt Prokop

You might not have heared of Matt Prokop now. But give the young actor a few months.

Prokop stars as Jimmy Zara in High School Musical 3: Senior Year. While he takes a backseat to Zac Efron and company in this film, rumors are swirling that he may anchor the franchise down the line.

There's already talk of Prokop starring in High School Musical 4.

The rising star has little other acting experience. He apeared briefly in The Office and Hannah Montana.

Might Matt Prokop be the next Zac Efron?

Jon Favreau Touches on Iron Man 2

In a new interview with The Los Angeles Times, Iron Man 2 director Jon Favreau didn't reveal anything too groundbreaking regarding the sequel. But any news on this wildly-anticipated follow-up is worth mentioning.

While there hasn't been an formal announcement on the sequel to Iron Man, Favreau has begun developing it.

"We're working on it now, which hasn't been officially announced. It will be released in 2010," the director told the newspaper.

Marvel Studios and Paramount Pictures are targeting a release date of April 30, 2010. That would ensure that the blockbuster kicked off that summer.

Justin Theroux (Tropic Thunder) is writing the script and in addition to Robert Downey Jr., the first film's co-stars Gwyneth Paltrow and Terrence Howard are expected to return.
