Helena Bonham Carter Reveals Slight Terminator Salvation Spoiler

Helena Bonham Carter won't reveal too much about her character in Terminator Salvation, but did she tell Sci-Fi Wire that Serena will be a villain.

"I kind of play a baddie, definitely a baddie," Bonham Carter said. "I don't know how much I'm allowed to say, but I'm a very bad person."

The actress added that she was pushed into the role by long-time boyfriend, director Tim Burton.

"Tim would have killed me if I hadn't done it, because he's such a Terminator fan. I've been in big movies before... Fight Club was big in a different way, and Charlie [and the Chocolate Factory] and Sweeney Todd were big, but I've never been in this kind of big popcorn action movie, a male one, an action one."

Kiefer Sutherland Appears in Mirror Images

Taking a break from saving the world as Jack Bauer on 24, Kiefer Sutherland focuses on just saving his family in the upcoming horror movie, Mirrors.

In the film, Sutherland stars as Ben Carson, a former cop that must prevent evil forces from haunting his family via, you guessed it, mirrors. Here are a couple stills of the character:

Elizabeth Banks Says Laura Bush is All About the Hair

For Josh Brolin, in his portrayal of George W. Bush for the movie W, we assume it's all about the incompetence.

Co-star Elizabeth Banks, who plays Laura Bush in the Oliver Stone movie, told the Los Angeles Times that playing the current First Lady was "all about the hair."

"Hair speaks volumes about every politician's wife," Banks said. "And I think you'll be impressed with my version of Laura Bush's very Republican hair. I did meet Laura once, in 2003, long before I knew I'd be playing her."

Asked about the movie's portrayal of the Bush family, the actress replied:

"The film really presents both sides. People who like George Bush will find many things in the movie to like and people who don't like George Bush will have their opinion validated as well. It's a fairly fair portrayal."

Following her gig as the First Lady, Banks will focus on making a porno with Seth Rogen. Sounds about right to us.

Robert Downey Jr. Sets Goals for Iron Man 2

It's a day of news about sequels, as we've already provided insight about Transformers 2 and Goonies 2.

Now, Robert Downey Jr. is opening up about the next Iron Man installment. He recently outlined the idea behind this sequel to iesb.bet:

“Our goals are more of the same. The idea that he said he’s Iron Man in part 1…it’s one thing to say it, and it’s another thing to actually evolve to the point where you can live in a heroic fashion.

You know, they say, ‘The superhero movie always needs to follow…’ and I said who is that guy? Get him out of here! We want to do what worked for us last time, in a way that evolves.”

It's true. One of our favorite things about Iron Man was the way the movie moved away from superhero cliches towards something more satisfying: what was logical for the character, as oppoed to the genre.

“We’re talking about a guy who is put in an extraordinary circumstance, and the people that are around him, and how that creates a sense of family, and how that disrupts whatever forces that we have to say that are working [in his life]," the star of the upcoming Tropic Thunder said.

"I like the idea of an Iron Man 2 that you’re able to understand various points of view. You’re able to touch on some subjects that are a lot more far reaching, while still grounding it in entertainment."

Confirmed: Megatron to Return in Transformers Sequel

Not exactly earth-shattering news on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, but still worth reporting:

According to CHUD, Megatron will play a key role in the follow-up to the 2007 blockbuster. He'll be "brought back by the Autobots, who need him to conquer the new menace. But I've learned that this time he won't be that weird alien jet. This time he's a tank."

Megatron

As we've previously reported, the titular Fallen refers to one of the original 13 Transformers created by Primus.

In Transformers lore, the Fallen betrayed the god-like Primus by allying himself with the planet-devouring Unicron. The Fallen was eventually trapped between dimensions.

Goonies 2 Really is in the Works

We don't know much about the often-rumored Goonies sequel, but we can report that plans for the film really, truly, are in the works.

Sources at Moviehole.net have confirmed at least two pieces of information:

  1. Warner Bros. will go through with a large-scale theatrical release of the movie;
  2. There are several writers working on the project - and they're being paid handsomely for their services.

So, what do you think? Do you wanna see a Goonies 2?

The mere thought has up typing furiously with excitement, but they best not mess up an all-time classic. The pressure is on, writers!

Reel Movie Reviews: The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2

ReviewsWhile the orignal The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants was a modest hit - enough to warrant a follow-up - this weekend's sequel should fare quite well at the box office. The reason?

All four stars have found small screen success, elevating their status as actresses. Does this mean The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 is worth your time and money? A few film critics answered that question...

- Provides a strong showcase for four deserving actresses and healthy lessons for an underserved audience of girls and young women... -- Groucho Reviews

- The four leads are all capable stewards of their characters, each with their own sunniness and charm... -- Screen International

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 Pic

- With very little sex and very little city, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 still seems a good bet to grab a sizable chunk of the underserved chick-flick demographic... -- Variety

- [T]his sequel to the 2005 sleeper hit feels like the Teen People version of an old Hollywood "women's picture," the sort of vehicle that kept Joan Blondell and Ann Sothern busy before and during World War II... -- MSNBC

Arnold Schwarzenegger Screens Terminator Salvation

The producers of Terminator Salvation recently screened footage of their movie for a certain former actor and current governor.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, however, wasn't overly impressed. He didn't sound enthusastic about the rebooting of the franchise he began in 1984.

"I still don't know how it will play out with this one," Schwarzenegger told The LA Times. "They showed me some footage, but I don't have a feel for the movie. I didn't see enough. I wasn't sure who the Terminator was. I don't know if there is one or if he's the star or the hero. These are the things that determine the success and how the strong the movie will be."

Terminator Salvation producers face a tough critic in Arnold Schwarzenegger.
