Jimmy Fallon, who is set to take over for Conan O'Brien in the 12:30 a.m. talk show slot next year, has been cast in Drew Barrymore’s directorial debut Whip It!
According to Slash Film, Fallon has been spotted on set of the roller derby movie portraying Hot Tub Johnny, a cheesy hungover announcer who makes nasty comments to all the skaters.
Moreover, sources report that Andrew Wilson is playing a roller derby coach in the flick.

It stars Ellen Page as “an indie-rock loving misfit” who finds a way of dealing with her small-town misery after she discovers a roller derby league in nearby Austin Texas. No release date has been set yet.
While Pineapple Express and Tropic Thunder have appeared to rule the comedic universe this summer, a possibe sleeper hit opens on August 22.
Steve Coogan leads the cast of Hamlet 2, whose title itself is hilarious. Sorry to spoil this for all non-Shakespeare fans, but all the characters die at the end of the original Hamlet.

The Coen Brothers have hired Michael Stuhlbarg, a Tony-nominated actor, and Richard Kind (best known for sitcom Spin City) to star as brothers in their new period black comedy, The Serious Man.
Set in 1967, the movie centers on Larry Gopnik (Stuhlbarg), a Midwestern professor whose life begins to unravel when his wife leaves him and his socially inept brother (Kind) won't move out of the house.
Shooting will begin next month in Minneapolis. On September 12, meanwhile, Brad Pitt and George Clooney lead an all-star cast in the Coen's next movie, Burn After Reading.
Russell Crowe next appears on the big screen alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in the thriller Body of Lies.
After that, there had been talk of the actor taking on the role of the Sheriff of Nottingham in the movie Nottingham, but that adaption has been pushed back.
As a result, The Sydney Morning Herald reports that Crowe may next portray comedian Bill Hicks. Here's a snippet of what the Oscar-winner told the newspaper, along with its subsequent report:
"I have another project based on the life of comedian Bill Hicks, which is going from treatment to draft stage with Kiwi writer Mark Staufer," Crowe said.
It is understood he is considering playing the main role of Hicks — a controversial and brilliant American comedian who battled drug and alcohol abuse before dying from cancer at 32.
Crowe confirmed Nottingham would not go ahead until March next year because director Sir Ridley Scott wanted the leaves on the trees in England's Sherwood Forest to be the right colour.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tom Cruise is in talks to star in the comic book adaptation of Sleeper. Director Sam Raimi (Spider-Man) will be behind the camera for it.
The comic book series centers on an operative whose fusion with an alien artifact makes him impervious to pain and allows him to pass it on to others through skin contact. He's placed undercover in a villainous organization by an intelligence agency and falls for a member of the group, named Miss Misery.
It's been a good summer for Cruise.
His cameo in Tropic Thunder is being lauded as a possible first step into the world of comedic acting, while his next film, Valkyrie, has seen its release date pushed up to December 2008.
The summer movie season is coming to a close. Unless you consider Hamlet 2 or The House Bunny to be blockbusters at the box office, the major popcorn flicks have come and gone.
With that in mind, it's time to turn our attention to the fall, the season in which Oscar contenders typically emerge. Here's a look at some of the movies we're most looking forward to over the next few months...
Brad Pitt is a gym employee in Burn After Reading.
Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe tell a Body of Lies.
The Oscars might be calling Angelina Jolie for Changeling.
Kids and families will get a new history lesson on May 22, 2009 when Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian comes out.
Ben Stiller reprises his role as Larry Daley in the sequel, while Amy Adams comes aboard as Amelia Earhart. Based on the following set photos, it looks like these two characters get along rather well in the film...
Typically a supporting player, Don Cheadle takes the lead in Traitor. The movie also stars Jeff Daniels and is centered around a special operative, working with a terrorist group, who becomes the target of the CIA.
