Tekken Movie Spoilers, Rumors

Tekken is the latest video game to be adapted into a movie.

It's due in theaters in 2009 and star Luke Goss (Hellboy II: The Golden Army) recently talked about the film's plot:

Goss stars as fighter Steve Fox and told Firstshowing.net that his character appears 15 years after his prime time as one of the world'sbest fighters. Fox will duke it out in the movie, but never inside a ring.

Steve Fox goes from video game to big screen in Tekken.

Tekken's story focuses on Heihachi Mishima (Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa), the leader of a highly corrupt business under investigation of a murder. He announces a tournament to crown a "King Of Iron Fist" and plans to make the winner his personal bodyguard.

However, as the fighters assemble, they begin to realize they are linked together through more than just their interest in killing Mishima. Cue suspenseful music...

Eddie Murphy Won't Rule Out Beverly Hills Cop 4

Beverly Hills Cop 4 could actually become a reality - but first Eddie Murphy wants to make sure the script is worthwhile.

"All I know is that it's gonna be something that's special. I'm not doing just, hey give me some big check and I go off [does the Foley laugh] and shoot the gun and jump over cars," Murphy told MTV News. "Like, that's some bullsh-t. If I do it, it's gonna be some sh-t that's right!"

Amen, Eddie!

Beverly Hills Cop 4 has been rumored to be in various stages of development for the last 14 years, ever since Beverly Hills Cop 3. Oops. We might not wanna mention that film in front of Murphy.

"I've been in a bunch of different meetings with people, ‘Oh, we have to take Axel this way." I ain't seen no script yet [but] I'm not rolling out ‘Beverly Hills Cop 4' for it to be a continuation of ‘Beverly Hills Cop III,' which was a crock of sh-t," Murphy said. "I wanna do a good one!"

Will Murphy's next comedy, Meet Dave, be a good one? Based on its previews, we'd have to say no.

Josh Brolin, Oliver Stone Defend W

Considering the rarity of a movie about a sitting U.S. President, it's no wonder that W is under fire from critics.

But director Oliver Stone says the movie isn't meant to be an overly intense look at the worst leader the free world has ever seen.

"W isn't an overly serious movie, but it is a serious subject. It's a Shakespearean story," Stone told The Los Angeles Times. "I see it as the strange unfolding of American democracy as I have lived it."

Brolin as W

Is this Josh Brolin or George W. Bush?

Josh Brolin, who portrays George W. Bush, said his preconceived notion of what the movie would be changed after he read the screenplay by Stone.

"It was very different than what I thought it would be, which was a far-left hammering of the president," the actor said. "Republicans can look at [W] and say, 'This is why I like this guy.' ... It's not a political movie. It's a biography. People will remember that this guy is human, when we are always [outside of the movie] dehumanizing him, calling him an idiot, a puppet, a failed president.

We want to know in the movie: How does a guy grow up and become the person that he did?"

A question millions of Americans have been asking for years.

Kevin Smith Gushes About The Dark Knight

Movie critics have already raved about The Dark Knight.

Director Kevin Smith (Clerks, Mallrats) just saw the film and he raved about it on his blog.

"Courtesy of Peter Sciretta over at SlashFilm.com, I caught an early screening of "The Dark Knight" yesterday evening.Without giving anything away, this is an epic film (and trust me: based on the sheer size and scope of the visuals and storytelling, that's not an overstatement).

What a Joker

It might not be humanly possible to look forward to a movie more than we're looking forward to The Dark Knight.

It's the "Godfather II" of comic book films and three times more earnest than "Batman Begins" (and f-ck, was that an earnest film). Easily the most adult comic book film ever made. Heath Ledger didn't so much give a performance as he disappeared completely into the role; I know I'm not the first to suggest this, but he'll likely get at least an Oscar nod (if not the win) for Best Supporting Actor.

F-cking flick's nearly three hours long and only leaves you wanting more (in a great way). I can't imagine anyone being disappointed by it. Nolan and crew have created something close to a masterpiece."

Molly Ringwald Pushes for Sixteen Candles Sequel

We weren't shocked to hear talk of a Wanted sequel.

But Sixteen Candles 2?!? Can't say we saw that rumor coming.

Star Molly Ringwald is urging writer/director John Hughes to make a sequel of 1984 movie. Indeed, 24 years later, the actress is campaigning for a follow-up to that iconic film, years after Hughes shot the idea down.

"It was something that I definitely wanted to do, but John Hughes wasn't interested, and I didn't feel comfortable doing it without his involvement," Ringwald told AOL Television. "If we can get John to agree, I think it would be great. I think there are definitely a lot of people who would love to see it, and I would love to do it."

We don't actually remember the plot of Sixteen Candles, but Rungwald thinks it "lends itself to (a sequel). It was such a Cinderella story. And I was interested to see what happened to this girl."

Would you see a Sixteen Candles sequel?

Gillian Anderson to Star as Martha Gellhorn
