What Trailers Will Precede The Dark Knight?

Don't get us wrong: We'd go see The Dark Knight even if the only previews preceding it were for The Love Guru and Superhero Movie.

Still, it's encouragng to discover that when The Dark Knight premieres on July 18, viewers can look forward to a few exciting trailers before the main attraction. They're currently scheduled to include:

  • Terminator Salvation (due out on May 22, 2009)
  • Watchmen (March 6, 2009)
  • Body of Lies (Octover 10)?

Rupert Grint Signs on for Cherrybomb

Rupert Grint is about to be known for a character other than Ron Weasley.

The young Harry Potter star has joined the cast of Cherrybomb, a Belfast-set teen drama about two friends whose furious competition for a beautiful but manipulative girl has tragic consequences.

According to Variety, Kimberley Nixon stars as the girl, with emerging Irish actor Robert Sheehan playing best friend and love rival to Grint's character.

Tom Hanks is a two-time Oscar winner - for Philadelphia and Forrest Gump - who is pretty much as respected as one can be in Hollywood.

James McAvoy graces the cover of the August issue of Details. Here are highlights from his interview with the magazine:

On the types of movies he likes to star in: “Hugh Grant is fucking great and he’s funny. I like romantic comedies. I’ve been in one and I f—ing loved it. I got to show off and I got to be a d—. It’s always fun to play d—. That’s why I loved Last King (of Scotland) —I got to be such a wanker.”

On being cast in Wanted alongside Angelina Jolie: “I think inside all actors, there’s a kid who secretly yearns to jump off buildings and say ‘Yippeekayay, motherf—er!’ I also thought that the fact that they were willing to cast someone like me showed a willingness to step outside the usual action-movie realm.”

Ramon Rodriguez has joined the cast of The Taking of Pelham 123.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the thriller stars Denzel Washington and John Travolta. Rodriguez will portray a friend of Washington and a fellow MTA train dispatcher who is caught in the middle of a subway hijacking.
