You can’t get much more of a Sex and the City movie spoiler than this:

It’s a clip from the upcoming film, and it reveals a rather major story line. Check it out at your own risk…

The International Movie Poster for The Happening

The Happening opens this June. It’s the latest, creepy creation from the mind of M. Night Shyamalan.

Here’s the international movie poster for the film. Don’t worry if you can’t understand the tag line on it…

David Eigenberg: Great to be Back on Sex and the City Set

David Eigenberg, as Sex and the City fans know, portrays Steve Brady in the hit sitcom and - starting next week - movie.

He recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the shoot. Here are excerpts from the interview:

Did you have any hesitation in reprising the role?
Number one, I never thought they would actually make it. Then I saw the script. I was like, ”Wow, it’s very nice and respectable; it’s a beautiful story for Miranda and Steve.” I guess there’s always a little apprehension.

Miranda and Steve

Is all well in Miranda and Steve land?

It must be hard to move on if that’s what you become known for.
In the public eye, I certainly get seen as Steve, and once in a while someone knows my real name. One of the last nights before [my wife and I] made the decision to do it, we were sitting [at our] fifth anniversary dinner. These three women were sitting at this table next to us, and they flipped out. My wife was like, ”David, for that reason alone, you have to do it.”

Sex and the City: The Movie opens on May 30.

Ray Liotta and Steve Buscemi: Youth in Revolt

Ray Liotta and Steve Buscemi will join Michael Cera Youth in Revolt, a comedy based on C.D. Payne’s popular book series.

The story focuses on Nick Twisp (Cera), a sexually-obsessed teen who meets the girl of his dreams on a family vacation - and proceeds to destroy the trip in an attempt to be with her. Buscemi will portray Cera’s father, while Liotta is a cop having an affair with the teen’s mom.

As Variety reports, when the tryst comes to a messy end, the cop takes out his revenge by trying to nail Twisp for arson. It’ll be funnier than it sounds, trust us.

Spider-Man 4 and Spider-Man 5 to be Simultaneously Spun?

According to Cinematical, Spider-Man fans need to listen up:

An inside movie source says James Vanderbilt (Zodiac) has turned in a working draft of Spider-Man 4 to the studio. However, according to the insider, “his story arc has encompassed two films, making Spider-Man 5 shootable at the same time. The studio saw dollar signs and is in the process of reworking his deal to snatch up the story arc.”

This sounds exciting, but would mega stars such as Kirsten Dunst and Tobey Maguire really commit themselves to one franchise for so long a period of time? It seems unlikely.

We’ll keep you posted.

Saw V Director is Trapped

Saw V director David Hackl recently spoke with MovieWeb about the next installment of this franchise. It’s due in theaters on October 24.

Who actually does the designs for these traps?
Well, the past couple of years it was me for Saw II and Saw III and Tony Ianni, who was my art director, has now taken over as production designer. It’s really a combination of people and it starts with the writers, myself and Darren (Lynn Bousman) working together to come up with the idea. We’ll do sketches of things and see what’s going to work.

These traps have so many criterias around them, so many things that they have to do. They have to look dangerous as hell but they have to be as safe as possible. They have to look like they can kill you but they can’t really kill you. It’s really difficult when you start to think of a trap.

So, how do you really do something where you run spikes through people and it goes through his wife on the other side, and make it look like it’s going to work? There are so many elements to it. It is a group effort all the way along. Jason Ehl, our trap builder, is the real engineer.

He does the machine work, actually in his workshop. He’s the mad scientist. He’s got the computerized milling machines that cut out the perfect gear sizes, the perfect blades, the pistons and the servos that make these things work.

Director Confirms Plans for National Treasure 3

Jon Turteltaub recently spoke with IGN about the future of his National Treasure franchise. Here are highlights of the interview:

IGN: Given the relative youth of the country, you’ve been able to find stories which plug into a specifically American mythology. Do you feel, moving forward, that this will become more and more of a challenge?

Jon Turteltaub: Oh, yeah. It gets a bit harder each time, because with each film we desperately scrounge around to find every little thing we can use. So there are fewer and fewer ideas left with each movie. If we have to make things a bit more international, that’s probably where we’ll have to go next.

National Treasure: Book of Secrets Picture

IGN: Will there be a third film?
Turteltaub: There will certainly be a third film that we desire and endeavor to make. But whether it gets made is all about the kind of things you just asked. Can we come up with an awesome story and great character development worthy of another movie? If not, we won’t make it.

Unlike the idea of a Jurassic Park 4, we welcome a third National Treasure film. It’s not hard to see many different directions this premise could go in.

Sacha Baron Cohen is Bruno

Borat, who?

Sacha Baron Cohen is seen here in Los Angeles, dressed as flamboyant Austrian fashion journalist Brüno.

The actor continues to make a (comedic) scene while filming his latest movie, tentatively titled, well, Brüno.

George Lucas Hints at Indiana Jones 5

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull hasn’t even hit movie theaters yet. But franchise creator George Lucas is still peering into the future.

He spoke with Roger Friedman of Fox News at the Cannes Film Festival and said:

“I haven’t even told Steven or Harrison this But I have an idea to make Shia [LeBeouf] the lead character next time and have Harrison [Ford] come back like Sean Connery did in the last movie. I can see it working out.”

Indiana Jones Photo

Will we see these actors reunited in Indiana Jones 5?

Lucas continued:

“And it’s not like Harrison is even old. I mean, he’s 65 and he did everything in this movie. The old chemistry is there, and it’s not like he’s an old man. He’s incredibly agile; he looks even better than he did 20 years ago, if you ask me.”

As for the early, mixed reviews for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, let’s just say the director is far from worried.

“This movie is the exact same experience as the other three were. The difference is, the novelty of discovery is gone. I get worried when I hear fans say they’re expecting something different that will change their lives. This is ‘Indiana Jones’ just as you remember him.”

Unwanted Movie Rumor of the Day: Jurassic Park 4 Planned

We’re all for Indiana Jones 4. Can’t wait to see what this crystal skull kingdom is all about.

But Jurassic Park 4?!? While we’d hoped that idea would be as extinct at the dinosaurs, Laura Dern has hinted at the strong possibility of yet another film in this franchise.

The actress, who has portrayed Dr. Ellie Sattler in the series, recently told TV Guide Magazine that the movie appears to be a go:

“It’s a while away but my understanding is it’s happening and my character is very involved. I know [director] Steven Spielberg is looking forward to [getting it together] over the next year,” Dern said

Would you go see Jurassic Park 4?
