Iron Man 2: Date Pretty Much Set

We're written a lot about the rumors of an Iron Man sequel.

Now, though, Viacom/CBS Executive Chairman Sumner Redstone and Paramount Pictures CEO Brad Grey told Entertainment Tonight that if the movie does as well as expected, the company will greenlight a sequel for the same week in 2010.

We'll let you know as more information comes in about Iron Man 2. But it's rather safe to assume the film will perform well enough this weekend to warrant a couple more in the franchise.

Teresa Palmer Possibly Cast in Transformers 2

Teresa Palmer, who has been rumored have landed the villainess role of Talia al Ghul in the Justice League of America movie, may also have been cast in the Transformers sequel.

Palmer, who most recently joined Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe in December Boys, has landed an unspecified role in the highly-anticipated Transformers 2. Might this mean that Megan Fox might not return as Shia's love interest in the movie?

That would suck, but it's hard to complain if Palmer is her replacement. Take a look and see why:

For months, it was rumored that Samuel L. Jackson would appear in Iron Man as the comic character Nick Fury, an eye-patched agent of a secret government organization.

But reports are coming in that Jackson does, indeed, make this highly-anticipated cameo... during the closing credits! Here's a fuzzy look at it now:

So when Iron Man fades to black this weekend, stay in your seat. Fury pops up on screen and many believe he'll be prominently involved in the film's sequel.

Reel Movie Reviews: Son of Rambow

With Iron Man coming out tomorrow, there's a good chance the unknown comedy Son of Rambow gets overlooked by movie-goers.

But it sounds like film critics think this would be a mistake on your part. Here's what they have to say about the flick...

- Full of quirk, slapstick and dry British humor, Son of Rambow is a delight, but too often forgets to stay true to its heart... -- E! Online

- The team who made The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy display plenty of whirligig energy, if not much control or lightness of touch... -- Entertainment Weekly

Son of Rambow

- Son of Rambow evokes the rush of discovery that turns budding cinephiles into lifers -- that delight in finding a film that seems to express or coalesce some inchoate yearning, including a yen to share... -- Village Voice

- This is a joyous film. It's about making friends, making movies and having a great time; a movie for anybody and everybody, especially those with a love of the '80s... -- IGN Movies

J.J. Abrams: New Star Trek is Genuinely Thrilling

Star Trek director J.J. Abrams recently spoke to The Associated Press about what we can expect when the franchise is relaunched on May 8, 2009.

Here's an excerpt from the interview:

"It was an opportunity to take what I think has been a maligned world â€" to sound crass, a franchise â€" and treat it in a way that made it something that I wanted to see.

"To take the characters, the thoughtfulness, the personalities, the sense of adventure, the idea of humanity working together, the sense of social commentary and innovation, all that stuff. To take it and apply it in a way that felt genuinely thrilling."

Tony Stark: They say the best weapon is one you never have to fire. I prefer the weapon you only need to fire once. That's how dad did it, that's how America does it, and it's worked out pretty well so far.
