Ashton Kutcher Tells Us About What Happens In Vegas

What happens in Vegas?

That's sort of the question asked of Ashton Kutcher regarding his new movie, aptly titled What Happens in Vegas. Below, he speaks with MoviesOnline.ca about the project...

MoviesOnline: How was it working with Cameron Diaz?
Ashton Kutcher: Horrible. I mean, to show up to work and have to look at a good looking woman who's funny and happy to be alive and joyous and nice to people, that's a nightmare. We had to deal with it every single day. You know, I don't think that there's anybody like her.

Drunkenly Married

I think she's maybe the only, I would say, true comedic leading lady in our business right now that has really honed that craft. And she's worked with Jim Carrey, she's worked with Adam Sandler, she's worked with Mike Myers. She's worked with every great comedic actor I can think of, so she's got a one up on all of us.

MoviesOnline: What was your preparation for the drunken spiral?
Ashton Kutcher: I got drunk and spiraled. I've had my entire '20s, my early '20s to really prepare for that scene. I have a lot of life experience to draw on for that kind of wild night.

Reel Movie Reviews: Speed Racer

It's the next big movie on the summer film docket.

But will Speed Racer follow in the record-breaking footsteps of Iron Man? The following reviews might go a long way toward determining that...

- The Wachowskis have created a blast of pure pop family fun; Speed Racer's a bright, bold visual spectacle designed for kids... -- Cinematical

- Unlike a Pixar cartoon that embraces as wide an audience as possible, Speed Racer proudly denies entry into its ultra-bright world to all but gamers, fanboys and anime enthusiasts... -- The Hollywood Reporter

Speed Racer

- Imagine someone pouring hot, melted Starburst candies into your corneas, and you just begin to approximate the experience of Speed Racer, an ice-cream headache of a movie that just keeps piling on the unnatural colors... -- MSNBC

- Pure cotton candy -- entirely non-nutritious but too sweet and pretty for young people to resist... -- Variety

Matthew McConaughey Rumored to Suit Up as Captain America

Marvel Studios just announced that it was bringing The First Avenger: Captain America to the big screen on May 6, 2011.

That date may be years down the line, but it's never too soon to speculate about who could play the star-spangled Avenger. And the name currently causing debate across the Internet?

Matthew McConaughey.

Could you see him as Captain America?

A Common Addition to Join Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins

Rapper/actor Common has signed on to co-star in Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins.

Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin and Moon Bloodgood star in this follow-up to the wildly successful franchise. It's set for release on May 22, 2009.

To introduce Common to the non-rap fan, here's a video of the star in action:

Ellen Page to Take on Jane Eyre

Ellen Page is set to play one of English literature's most famous characters, the heroine of Charlotte Bronte's "Jane Eyre."

According to Variety, Alison Owen of Ruby Films, who most recently produced The Other Boleyn Girl, is working with BBC Films to develop the new adaptation of Bronte's classic 19th century romance. The story focuses on a mousy governess that softens the heart of her surly employer Mr. Rochester... only to discover that he's hiding a terrible secret.

Ellen Page

This book is one of the most adapted novels in English literature. The last big screen adaptation, in 1996, was directed by Franco Zeffirelli and starred Charlotte Gainsbourg.

Page most recently starred in Smart People.

Robert Downey Jr. Considers Iron Man 2 Options

Tony StarkWith an Iron Man sequel guaranteed at this point, Entertainment Weekly caught up with Robert Downey Jr. and asked him about possible story lines for the follow-up, already set for theaters on April 30, 2010.

When you were brainstorming with Jon Favreau, what were the elements that you wanted to bring to the next Iron Man movie?
There's this idea of Terrence Howard putting on a suit and coming back as War Machine, who is pretty iconic in the Iron Man and Marvel universe. Just seeing where it can all go, but grounding it in a very modern mythology. I see it as greatest dysfunctional family story ever told....

In The New York Post a couple days ago, [there was a cartoon] of Iron Man suited up, and he's telling the governor even his super-powers can't get him out of the budget problem. That was what Jon was hoping for and excited to see the most, the idea that Tony Stark and Iron Man can become part of the cultural fabric.

When we heard posters were being defaced to promote political or social ideas, he just got such a hoot out of that.

Pretty Much Confirmed: Anchorman 2

Rumors of Anchorman 2 were teased by Judd Apatow a few months ago.

But now Adam McKay - the writer behind the original movie and the co-creator of Funnyordie.com - has pretty much confirmed plans he and Will Ferrell have for an Anchorman sequel.

"Will and I are like let's do Anchorman 2… we're going to do it, for sure," McKay said to Collider. "We're dying to do it. Unless we can't get the cast together, which is always kind of a tricky thing. But, I think, with that cast we're all friends, so yeah, we want to do it."

Anchorman 2!

Yay! Anchorman 2 is on the way!
