A Sneak Peek at Made of Honor

While the title - and recycled premise - still makes us cringe, we are suckers for Patrick Dempsey. So there’s a chance this Grey’s Anatomy star will lure us in to Made of Honor when it comes out on May 2.

And if he doesn’t, our girlfriends surely will.

Either way, here’s a sneak peek at Made of Honor, courtesy of Entertainment Tonight:

Ayelet Zurer Cast in Angels & Demons

Ayelet Zurer has landed the role of Vittoria Vetra in the upcoming Da Vinci Code prequel Angels & Demons.

Sources close to the project told Entertainment Weekly that the Israeli actress (who played Eric Bana’s wife in Munich and was last seen in Vantage Point) has been cast opposite Tom Hanks in the Ron Howard-directed movie. Reportedly, she beat out major stars, such as Naomi Watts, for the role.

For those unfamiliar with the book, the character of Vittoria Vetra is the daughter of CERN physicist Leonardo Vetra. Following her father’s death, Vittoria pairs with Robert Langdon (Hanks) on a journey to uncover the mystery behind her father’s murder and stop a terrorist plot.

Angels & Demons set to begin filming in Europe in June, eyeing a May 15, 2009, release date.

The Hancock Movie Trailer

If it’s possible for a Will Smith movie that’s released over July 4 weekend to be flying under the radar, then Hancock would surely qualify.

In light of such blockbuster as Iron Man and The Dark Knight being so heavily hyped, many film fans may not even be aware that Smith is set to release his own superhero flick on July 2.

Here’s the Hancock movie trailer now, though, to get you excited for the man that owns July 4 almost as much as Uncle Sam does:

New Quotes from Charlie Wilson’s War

We added 15 new quotes from Charlie Wilson’s War to our site this week. How come? Because the movie just came out on DVD.

Go ahead and browse our complete collection of Charlie Wilson’s War Quotes now, while checking out the following few examples from this Tom Hanks vehicle:

Charlie Wilson: You’re no James Bond.
Gust Avrakotos: You’re no Thomas Jefferson, either. Let’s call it even.

Larry Liddle: Does the Congressman only hire beautiful women?
Charlie’s Angel #2: As the Congressman says, “you can teach them to type, but you can’t teach them to grow tits.”

Tom and Julia

Charlie Wilson: These things happened. They were glorious and they changed the world… and then we fucked up the endgame.

Charlie Wilson: You know you’ve reached rock bottom when you’re told you have character flaws by a man who hanged his predecessor in a military coup.

Gust Avrakotos: Yeah, well I’d like to take a moment to review the several ways in which you’re a douche bag?

Director Dishes on Deception

Marcel Langenegger is behind the camera for Deception, a sex thriller starring Hugh Jackman and Ewan McGregor and opening this weekend.

He recently spoke to MovieWeb about the project. Here are a few highlights from the interview:

Q: How accurately does the title Deception depict what is going on in this movie? Or does the title describe the film’s relationship with the audience?

Marcel Langenegger: It is both. The whole thing is a con film, especially in the set up. So nothing is as it seems. It actually happens in both directions. As you know, Hugh Jackman plays the bad guy and Ewan McGregor plays the good guy. At one point the role switches. It is a very balanced back and forth.

Q: And at the same time, you are deceiving the audience as well?

Marcel Langenegger: Yes. A little bit. There comes a point in the movie where things don’t make any sense. You don’t know who actually exists, or if this is a fantasy. There is always the possibility that the things you see happening on screen could be a dream. But they are probably real. You, as an audience member, may start asking yourself those questions. At one point, the logic is completely lost. But at the end, it all starts to make sense again. This is how it goes.

Watch Daniel Craig in Action!

This isn’t exactly the most exciting behind the scenes clip you’ll ever see of Quantum of Solace. But it is one of the first.

Check out Daniel Craig being filmed for a chase scene in the next James Bond movie:

An Enchanted Sequel: On the Way

Following talk - already - of a Speed Racer sequel, we’re hearing reports that one of 2007’s biggest movies may return for a follow-up.

Kevin Lima, the man behind the Enchanted, has reportedly already spoken to Disney a sequel.

Robert Philip

As MovieHole reports, it’s not yet known whether the follow-up will reunite Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey – though, if the price is right, it probably will – or focus on a new cast of characters.

So… would you go see an Enchanted sequel?

Forgetting Sarah Marshall Team Goes Greek

Forgetting Sarah Marshall director Nick Stoller will team up again with Judd Apatow and Universal Pictures for the comedy Get Him to the Greek, with Jonah Hill and Russell Brand attached to star, reports Variety.

The movie centers on a fresh-out-of-college insurance adjuster (Hill, pictured) who is hired to accompany an out-of-control rock star (Brand) from London to a gig at L.A.’s Greek Theater.

Hill and Brand enjoy supporting roles in Forgetting Sarah Marshall; Stoller made his feature directing debut with the flick.

On the Set of Get Smart

The good people at ComingSoon.net went on the set of Get Smart recently.

They spoke to stars Steve Carell and Dwayne Johnson. Check out the full article now, and read below to get these actors’ takes on the project…

Carell talked about the honor of being offered such an iconic role:

“When Warner Bros. initially called me in, I thought I was coming in to audition. I heard that Will (Ferrell) had been attached. For some reason or another, he was no longer attached and that they were looking for somebody else,” he said.

Get Smart

“They just came out and said, ‘We’d like you to play Maxwell Smart.’ And it was one of those moments I could not believe, it was one of those quintessential life career moments that was like, ‘What the hell is happening? How did this come to pass?’ So I’ve been pinching myself ever since then. It’s great and it’s been ever since then,” Carell added.

Both he and Johnson, the former WWE star known as The Rock, were long time fans of the original series.

“I was a big fan, absolutely,” Johnson said. “I like any type of comedy that is physical, self-deprecating comedy. I love that because I think, if you are really trying to be cool, then it’s hard to be funny, like really funny.

The way Don Adams played that, very self-deprecating, giving himself up for the joke, I love that. And the gadgets were pretty cool too, which you see in this movie, updated ones, too.”

Happy Birthday, Kal Penn!

Actor Kal Penn turns 31 years old today.

While known pretty much for just one role - that of Kumar Patel - Penn has actually demonstrated a wide range of talent over the past few years.

He’s guest starred on 24 and is currently a series regular on House.

In the end, though, Kal will always be Kumar to movie goers. We’re guessing he doesn’t mind too much. Along those lines, remember: Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay comes out this Friday!
