If watching a grown man date a doll isn't enough of a reason to rent Lars and the Real Girl when it comes out on DVD Tuesday, consider that Ryan Gosling was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in the movie.

just saw Lars and the Real Girl, Gosling did a great job playing out his character's psychological transition from totally dysfunctional to somewhat functional; thank goodness they left out the predictable small-town drama as well
