The Movie Trailer for The Hottie and the Nottie

The tagline for The Hottie and the Nottie is: "That's hot. That's not."

Moreover, this movie stars Paris Hilton.

Still, if you haven't been totally turned off to seeing the film, take a look at the trailer below and see if that changes your mind:

Reel Movie Reviews: In Bruges

reel-reviews-logo41.jpg Colin Farrell stars in In Bruges.

The dark comedy's plot is summed up on IMDB thusly: Holed up in Bruges, Belgium after a difficult job, two hit men begin to differ on their views of life and death as they become used to local customs.

Does that sound good to you? Perhaps a few words from well-known critics will help you make up your mind:

- No one wants a movie that tiptoes in step with political correctness, yet the willful opposite can be equally noxious. -- The New Yorker

- It's obvious why [director] McDonagh wanted to launch his film career with bang-bang instead of talk-talk. But his timing seems off. -- New York Magazine

In Bruges Picture

- Just when you think you've seen every possible variation on the hit-man genre, Irish playwright Martin McDonagh in his feature debut has fashioned an audacious combination of Old World grace and modern ultraviolence. -- The Hollywood Reporter

- Melancholic music and a torpid pace don't make In Bruges profound, but they are symptomatic of this phony, pretentious crime film's schizophrenia. -- Slant Magazine

An Arrested Development Movie in the Works?

We now present our favorite movie rumor of the new year:

There's buzz that the an Arrested Development movie might actually be happening! Jeffrey Tambor, who played George Bluth Sr. on the beloved series, said as much during an interview this weekend.

On XM Radio's The Ron and Fez Show, Tambor hinted that development on the Arrested Development movie may be starting soon.

"I think we're gonna make a movie," Tambor said. "I talked to Ron Howard [series executive producer] the other day, and he hinted around that there's a real push to get the movie made, of course, after the strike. And [he asked] was I on board. I said, of course! I'd love doing that!"

Moreover, Juno co-star and Arrested Development leading man, Jason Bateman, confirmed the rumor.

"I can confirm that a round of sniffing has started. Any talk is targeting a post-strike situation, of course," said Bateman. "I think, as always, that it's a question of whether the people with the money are willing to give our leader, Mitch Hurwitz, what he deserves for his participation. And I can speak for the cast when I say our fingers are crossed."

James Vanderbilt: Excited to Pen Spider-Man 4

As previously reported, Zodiac screenwriter James Vanderbilt has been hired to work on the script for Spider-Man 4. And the writer can't wait to get started.

"I really loved the films," Vanderbilt recently said on BlogTalkRadio.com's Movie Geeks United program. "It's sort of an odd process because you're sitting down with people who made the first three and going, 'Well, let me tell you what to do,' which is always odd."

The writer added: "But I was lucky enough that they were interested in me and I'm a huge fan of those movies, so we closed that up right before the strike. And once the strike's over, I get to go to work."

No release date has been set yet for Spider-Man 4. We'll keep you posted.

The Movie Trailer for Wanted

Forget the Super Bowl commercials for Bud Light, Pepsi and numerous other products last night.

We were focused on the new movie previews. Among them were Iron Man and The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. But we already have trailers for those films on the site.

So here's a look at Wanted, starring Angelina Jolie and James McAvoy:

Reel Movie Reviews: The Eye

reel-reviews-logo4.jpg Upon first glance, The Eye looks like your typical, awful, cheesy horror movie. Granted, it stars Jessica Alba, so maybe it isn't all bad.

But we have a feeling film critics won't be in love with this flick. Let's find out!

- The Eye never aspires to be anything more than professionally crafted sleepover fodder, but that still qualifies as a step up for Alba. -- Metro Mix

- Although star Jessica Alba is undoubtedly easy on the eyes, this remake of a Chinese neo-classic is far too easy on the nerves. -- Horror.com

The Eye Photo

- Someone else should have seen the obvious hurdle of making a horror movie that relies solely on Jessica Alba's acting abilities. -- Shock Till You Drop

- It's far from brilliant, but as weekend multiplex popcorn fare, it mostly gets the job done. -- New Times
