Colin Farrell Discusses In Bruges

In Bruges is a tale of two hit men (Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson) stuck in a Belgian tourist town. E! Online bills the film as “the greatest thing Colin has ever done.”

The movie opens in March, but Farrell is ready to talk about it now…

On the In Bruges script: “It’s my favorite thing I ever read.” So, how does he think Oliver Stone and Michael Mann would feel about that? “F–k them!” he laughs. “I think they’d feel fine. They have an idea of how good they are.”

On his life in Belgium: “I was hidden, knackered after most days. I found a nice unisex steam place, all aboveboard. All these bodies, different shapes and sizes, we all just sat and talked together.”

On the dialogue: “There’s a great line where Harry (Ralph Fiennes) is on the train [and] sits down in front of this businessman. And the businessman says something to him like, ‘Are you going to Bruges on business?’ And Harry goes, ‘If I wanted to talk to a c–t, I would have gone to the talk to a c–t shop.’”

Reel Movie Reviews: Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins

reel-reviews-logo45.jpg Based on commercials, Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins looks like a tired, worn out, cliche-ridden comedy. Then again, it can’t be worse than The Hottie and the Nottie.

Let’s see what other film critics thought of this Martin Lawrence vehicle. A handful of viewpoints are below…

- If you thought National Lampoon’s Vacation films were at least okay, then Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins is a decent enough way to spend two hours.Entertainment Weekly

- It’s not half bad, largely because it places an absolute premium on brash, bawdy humor.Slant Magazine

More National Treasure Movies Planned

With talk of a Cloverfield sequel, Spider-Man 4 and even more Pirates of the Caribbean movies, we’ve now received word that Walt Disney Pictures wants to make a National Treasure 3. At least.

The studio is also reportedly looking to produce two more films in the Nicolas Cage franchise.

JimHillMedia.com reports that Disney has registered the domain names NationalTreasure3DVD.com and NationalTreasure4DVD.com, clear indications that the studio sees more box office gold to be mined from this Treasure trove.

So what might National Treasure 3 be about? That same website reports:

The story for the third National Treasure would “send the Gates family off to Easter Island and beyond in search of Atlantis. More importantly, the pure, clean power source that was supposedly lost forever when this ancient civilization sank beneath the sea. Which - were it to be harnessed today - would immediately put an end to global warming. Not to mention making gas and oil obsolete.”

Would you wanna see a National Treasure 3… and 4?

Scarlett Johansson and Penelope Cruz: Threesome Alert!

Move over, Wild Things.

According to reports, the Matt Dillon/Neve Campbell/Denise Richards vehicle may no longer enjoy its status as the most mainstream movie to feature a threesome in the last decade or so.

The New York Post states that Scarlett Johansson has a steamy lesbian sex scene with Penelope Cruz in Woody Allen’s upcoming Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

“It is also extremely erotic. People will be blown away and even shocked. Penelope and Scarlett go at it in a red-tinted photography dark room, and it will leave the audience gasping,” said a source.

The stars later have a threesome with Javier Bardem, who plays Cruz’s husband in the movie and boyfriend in real life. Do with this information whatever you please. (You’re welcome, guys)

Reel Movie Reviews: The Hottie and the Nottie

reel-reviews-logo44.jpg As movie fans, we love our job.

Sometimes, however, we’re stuck discussing films such as the Paris Hilton vehicle The Hottie and the Nottie. We don’t want your pity - but we also don’t want anyone going to see this junk. Hopefully, other critics agree with our assessment of the flick…

- It’s hard to fault the filmmakers, because given the premise, it could have been much MUCH worse.ComingSoon.net

- Crass, shrill, disingenuous, tawdry, mean-spirited, vulgar, idiotic, boring, slapdash.Village Voice

The Hottie

- I would like to tell you this gross-out-on-camera is every bit as bad as its title implies, but that would not be entirely true. It is much, much worse.New York Observer

- Paris definitely wear the pants in this ho hum extra-lite romantic comedy, and I think I can pretty accurately report that she keeps them on down under, from beginning to end.News Blaze

Righteous Kill Stars Grace Cover of Vibe

Righteous Kill stars Al Pacino and Robert De Niro. So you’d assume these two icons would be the basis for that film’s publicity push, right?

Right?!?

Well, tell that to Vibe magazine. De Niro is on its latest cover… alongside co-star 50 Cent. Can’t say that makes us too excited for this flick anymore.

The Movie Trailer for Forgetting Sarah Marshall

Reel Movie Reviews: Fool’s Gold

reel-reviews-logo43.jpg They made us laugh in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. So, can Kaye Hudson and Matthew McConaughey have the same effect on movie-goers in Fool’s Gold?

Based on the preview, the film doesn’t look like anything special. But what do a series of movie critics think about it?

- Fool’s Gold offers small compensation - a listless romantic comedy that, almost out of desperation, turns a little more violent than necessary near the end. Variety

- An unfunny and overlong sea romp.New York Press

Fool

- The movie lost me right from the beginning, when I couldn’t accept any of its plot premises and didn’t believe in any of its characters. New York Observer

- Could have been called How to Lose an Audience in 10 Minutes. - The Hollywood Reporter

Director Dishes Terminator Salvation Spoilers, Details

McG - the man behind the camera for Charlie’s Angels and The OC - was recently hired to helm the fourth installment in the Terminator franchise. He recently discussed what fans can expect to see from Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins.

“[The filmmakers are prepping the picture right now,” McG said to The213.net. “The script is largely done, whether or not we’re able to prep off of it, obviously we want to continue to work on it, punch it up and we’re hoping for an expedient finish to the writer’s strike. But I’ve got my fingers crossed that in a week or two it will be over.”

The director confirmed that Christian Bale will portray the heroic John Connor, while also hinting that No Country for Old Men’s Josh Brolin might be in the running to play the film’s terminator.

McG revealed that Terminator 4 will take place in 2019, post-Judgment Day, but added that “there are indeed some timeline issues” with respect to the continuity established not only by the first three Terminator films, but also now by the TV series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

“We’re going to do what we can to respect them all,” he said.
