The Dark Knight Spoilers: Opening Scenes Revealed, Discussed

quote.jpg The Dark Knight Director Christopher Nolan talked to MTV News about “adventurous” character of The Joker as he helped unveil an extended trailer this week.

If the opening frames of the movie are any indication, Batman will have his hands full come June. The Joker is on the loose, and MTV has seen just how devilishly maniacal and dangerous he can be.

On Sunday night, a small crowd in New York gathered to watch the first six minutes of Nolan’s eagerly awaited sequel to Batman Begins and the footage did not disappoint. Introduced by the beaming director and displayed on an 80-foot-tall IMAX screen, the opening of the film welcomed Heath Ledger’s Joker to the Nolan/Batman universe.

And it was clear from the start, much as you might have loved Jack Nicholson’s villain, the purple-clad bad man won’t have the time or inclination to dance to Prince this time around. Nolan spoke at length with MTV News immediately prior to and following the special event, clearly proud of his new villain.

“I think what Heath is doing is very adventurous,” he said. “What he’s doing is very radical. It’s very much what I wanted. I knew I needed someone really fearless.”

Eva Green: Down with Bond 22 Girl!

Eva Green recently gave a long interview to The Guardian in Great Britain.

When asked if she’d be appearing in Bond 22 - despite her character being killed off at the end of Casino Royale - the actress replied that 007 would be pursuing Lynd’s duplicitous Algerian boyfriend, so…

“Yes there will be pictures [of Vesper] and things like that. I don’t know who the Bond girl’s gonna be. I’m a bit jealous! I hope it will be terrible. I will be the love of his life!”

We think she’s mostly kidding, so whoever lands the Bond Girl role can relax. It’s still unclear who that will be, of course, as rumors have mentioned actresses from Mayrin Villanueva to Cleo Pires.

Meanwhile, Green teams up again with Daniel Craig in The Golden Compass. How does she think he’s changed since becoming Bond?

“He’s working like a dog. He really wants to prove that he can do other stuff. He’s working on [second world war resistance drama] Defiance at the moment. It’s great for him. I mean, everyone wants him. Independent movies, Jim Jarmusch, anything. He doesn’t have “the Bond curse” at all. He’s great. He deserves it.”

Nicolas Cage Speaks on Ghost Rider 2, National Treasure 3

National Treasure: Book of Secrets isn’t even in theaters yet.

But its star is excited about the possibility of a third movie in that franchise. Nicolas Cage told ComingSoon.net that he’d be interested in doing another film in the series:

“With National Treasure, I believe that it should become more and more ‘International Treasure,’ Cage said. “I was very happy to see that we went to London, England and Paris, France, but I’d like to see the movie go wider still. I’d like to go into Africa, Egypt, Asia, and keep going.

My hope is that Ben is recruited and he gets a dossier from these other countries about their history, and has to download it and learn it, and then try to go on these hunts on their behalf. That would be a lot of fun for me.”

What about a sequel to Ghost Rider?

“All they have to do is call, and I would love to see that happen. That would be fun,” Cage said.

Ellen Page Opens Up About Juno

Ellen PageMichael Cera may be the first name you think of when you watch the trailer for Juno, but Ellen Page is the actress that truly dominates the film.

She recently spoke to Comingsoon.net about the role:

Q: How do you approach a comedy like this differently from doing a drama?
Page: I don’t know. It’s interesting. I think I’ve done some films that have an element of emotional extremity and oddly I think there’s an illusion that that’s more difficult acting and it can be more difficult to just be and to just be as genuine as possible.

For a film like Juno, I felt like if it was at all forceful than it would have become contrived and annoying and a lax and kind of a genuine emotion that allows for the heart to connect. If you lose that, well you’ve lost me for one thing. I’m very much like you gotta get me here or, you know?

So often movies that everyone on the planet likes, I don’t like, ’cause I’m just like I can’t connect to this at all. I think it’s about connecting. It’s always about connecting. I’m totally rambling. I think with something like “Juno” there’s more of a fine line I suppose.

Q: How did you find the physicality of the role, being eight months pregnant?
Page: Intimidated at first, but I actually watched other films. Michael Winterbottom’s “Wonderland,” I don’t know if you’ve seen that. Amazing movie. And Molly Parker, a Canadian actress, is pregnant in that and gives birth.

I remembered that because I love that film and I was like, “I’m going to watch that and completely rip her off.” So shout-out to Molly Parker, and yeah, I bought “Pregnancy for Dummies.”

Willow Smith Stars in I Am Legend

We all know Will Smith stars as “the last man alive” in I Am Legend.

But a certain young woman also makes an appearance in the upcoming film: Will’s daughter, Willow Smith.

In a recent interview with People magazine, the actor compared his daughter with his son, Jaden, who acted by his side in The Pursuit of Happyness.

“Jaden is [like] Johnny Depp,” Smith says. “He just wants to do good work…He loves acting, he just wants to make good movies.

But what about Willow?

“And Willow is Paris Hilton,” Smith said, laughing. “Willow wants to be on TV.”

Smith went on to say his daughter’s strong personality contributes to her impressive work ethic, stating: “You don’t work with Willow. You work for Willow.”

But that’s not to say the rising star isn’t dedicated to her craft:

In one grueling outdoor sequence for I Am Legend, temperatures dropped well below zero, Smith explained, but that didn’t stop his daughter from finishing her scenes.

“Willow was out there and she has her stuff on and she’s cold and she’s getting a little irritable. And she looks at me and says, “Daddy, I don’t care how low it goes. I’m going to finish.’
