Hilary Angelo Dishes on Charlie Wilson's War

Hilary Angelo stars alongside Tom Hanks in Charlie Wilson's War, opening on Christmas Day.

Actually, Hilary Angelo seduces Tom Hanks in Charlie Wilson's War. She recently talked about the role with Movie Web:

You are co-starring in Charlie Wilson's War. Can you tell me about the character you play in this film?
Hilary Angelo: I play a woman named Kelly. She is a stripper in Vegas. It is a true story, this movie. I am in the first fifteen minutes of the film. Kelly more or less tries to seduce Tom Hanks, who is playing Charlie Wilson. They are over at Caesar's Palace, and it is a crazy party.

She is trying to get to know Charlie in a hot tub, but he is not paying attention to her. He is more interested in Dan Rather on television. A couple of "things" later, I'm still trying to get his attention. But he is much more interested in politics. Which I think is interesting.

You would think he'd be more interested in a stripper. It sort of introduces Charlie as a playboy guy who hangs out with people of this ilk. And he is a politician. Now, all of a sudden, he has taken an interest in Afghanistan. It all has to do with being in the hot tub and watching Dan Rather.

So, it really is the launch of the film. I don't want to give away too much. Charlie in real life gets in trouble for hanging out with strippers in hot tubs. He did get in trouble with congress in the 80s for doing that.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Spoilers: Aliens Attack!

Take this as a rumor, but we've heard the following about Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

To celebrate Close Encounters of the Third Kind's 30th anniversary, Steven Spielberg has dusted off those rubber Extraterrestrial dummies for a cameo appearance in the final (we assume) installment of Indiana Jones.

This may sound ludicrous, but Harvard lecturer Dr. Marc Zender makes it seem as though aliens may play a role in the film.

He explains that crystal skulls were once displayed in museums across the globe as proof of ancient Mayan grinding technology, but they're actually all fakes, most likely manufactured in late 19th-century Germany.

Can you imagine aliens popping up in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull?

"These things are big crystals, and people started thinking of them as these super computers of past civilizations," Dr. Zender said. "If a silicon chip can hold tons of information and data, imagine what a gigantic 11-pound crystal can hold. So maybe this skull has stored all of the lost knowledge of the Mayans or Atlantians, or ET."

Lauren Ambrose to Voice a Character in Where the Wild Things Are

Lauren Ambrose will be voicing one of the title roles in Spike Jonze's fantasy film Where the Wild Things Are. The movie, of course, is based on the wildly popular book by the same name.

In the feature adaptation of Maurice Sendak's children's tale, Ambrose will play KW, one of the giant creatures in the land of the Wild Things. When a young boy named Max visits their strange world, KW and company turn him into their king.

Ambrose is replacing the previously cast Michelle Williams. According to a production source, the filmmakers enjoyed working with Williams, but her voice didn't match their original vision of how the Wild Thing should sound.

Daniel Craig Dishes on Bond 22, Possible Sequel to The Golden Compass

Daniel Craig is a busy man these days.

With The Golden Compass hitting theaters in two weeks - and filming set to begin on Bond 22 - the actor found time to speak with Comingsoon.net about the pair of projects:

Daniel Craig Picture CS: I read somewhere you're going to inject a bit more humor into the next movie.
Craig: I was lying. I said, "Yes, it's going to be funny." I don't remember saying that, but if I did, I'm not going to shy away from the fact the occasionally there should be humor. I just don't like gags. I don't like written gags. That's not the way I've ever liked working and I don't think that's funny myself.

CS: "Casino Royale" marked a welcome return to the style and sensibilities of the earlier Bond movies, rather than the jokey more recent movies.
Craig: The idea of having jokes in Bond I don't think is completely wrong, but I think the jokes to need to come out tension. There needs to be moments of humor because we've all been sitting on the edge of our seat. I don't think you should write gags in Bond.

CS: I understand there's already a script for a sequel to "The Golden Compass." Have you read it yet?
Craig: There's an outline. It's a pretty good outline. I haven't looked at it. I've seen bits of it, but haven't looked at it.

CS: Assuming Golden Compass is a hit and they make a second film, and you're already signed up to do the next Bond, are you looking ahead to work both into your schedule?
Craig: That will be the plan, but it just depends on how well we do here. I try not to count chickens. I really do because there's no point. You'd go crazy. We're in good shape and I'm very happy with the way this is working out. I'd love to get involved with it. If they do another movie, I'd love to do it. We'll fit it in. It's not my job to make that work. I pay people fortunes to make that.
