A Brief Summary of High School Musical 3

Regardless of plot, there's little doubt High School Musical 3 will rake in the cash when it arrives in theaters.

Still, here's a quick rundown of the plot, courtesy of star Vanessa Hudgens:

"It's senior year," the actress said, "so there's going to be graduation â€" and prom!"

Added High School Musical 3 director Kenny Ortega: "All of the original cast will be back. [But] I have a feeling this will be the end [for the current stars]. This franchise may move to another generation!"

Julian Schnabel Talks About The Diving Bell and the Butterfly

Julian Schnabel is the director of the most critically acclaimed film of the season, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. He recently spoke to Comingsoon.net about his goal for the movie:

"I wanted this film to be a tool, like... a self-help device that can help you handle your own death," he said.

Based on reaction so far, Schnabel has succeeded.

In the interview, the director also talked about his musical inspirations:

"I knew that I was gonna use that U2 song ["Ultra Violet (Baby, Light My Way)"] always. I was with him in Cannes [in 1992] and I drove to Neem to meet my wife. I rented this Mercedes and I was driving 120 miles an hour listening to the song and I thought, 'If I ever make a movie, this song is gonna be there.' You know, Bono's a friend of mine and we drive around and he sings to me sometimes in the car when we are driving."

Movie Trailer for The Savages

With performances by Philip Seymour Hoffman and Laura Linney, The Savages is receiving heavy Oscar consideration. Here's the preview for it:

Josh Brolin Speaks on No Country for Old Men

Josh Brolin is on fire right about now. The actor appears in two Oscar-caliber movies: American Gangster and No Country for Old Men.

Below, he talks about the latter with Movie Web...

No Country for Old Men Photo We've always been a huge fan of the Coen Brothers, but this No Country for Old Men really seems to be their return to the spotlight. What was the experience like working with them?
Josh Brolin: It was amazing. They're just people that I've always wanted to work with for the longest time. I never thought that I'd get to work with them as a lead character. They're very easy, very trusting in the process. Not a lot a strife and misunderstanding going on.

Javier Bardem is quite a presence as your pursuer, Anton Chigurh. What was the dynamic like with him on the set?
Josh Brolin: Javier is one of the sweetest, most unbelievably gracious guys I've ever met in my life. Listen man, we made fun of each other on the set, we tried to break each other up constantly (laughs) and it just made it that much more fun, but it made the focus more intense when we had to do what we were doing.

It was wonderful working with him, and I would work with him again and again. I think we both feel that same way. I think we could probably do a comedy now. We can't seem to hang out with each other without trying to break the other one up.

The tension, and all of that kind of stuff, I think that was more in the beginning of the movie, when we were still searching for our character and really wanting to find that hook for either one of us, in order to do justice to the part.

After awhile, you find that hook and you start to be more comfortable with it. I mean, really, our only worry, after a certain point, was just to keep our imaginations active, and the best way to do that is to f-ck with your compadre as much as possible.

Seth Rogen Will Be The Green Hornet

Some may think he doesn't look the part, but Seth Rogen has confirmed to MTV that he'll be suiting up as The Green Hornet.

First, well, he has to hit the gym.

"You should believe that I can do some physical activity," Rogen said. "You have to believe I can do SOMETHING."

Seth Rogen Pic

Because comic fans are so picky, many have complained ever since Rogen was announced as the man to don the famous green fedora to play this role. But the actor understands.

"Nerds love complaining!" he chuckled.

Mostly, fans are worried that the Knocked Up and Superbad star would turn the story into a comedic farce.

"There's a more comedic version and a less comedic version and we don't know what will feel right until we're actually writing it," Rogen said.

Box Office Preview: Awake

Which new movie do we think will fare the best this weekend? Take a look below:

Awake
What's It All About: Hayden Christensen (pictured here with Terrence Howard) plays a victim of anesthetic awareness, a phenomenon in which a patient remains conscious but paralyzed under anesthesia. While in this state, he hears his surgeons plotting to murder him and pretend his death was the result of complications. Jessica Alba stars as Christensen's wife.
Why It Might Do Well: Being this week's only new wide release can only bode well.
Why It Might Not Do Well: Enchanted still has legs enough to pull off a second week in the topspot, so look for Awake to place second.
Number of Theaters: 2,000

Trio of Big Names on Board for Repossession Mambo

Jude Law, Forest Whitaker and Liev Schrieber have all signed up for the comic sci-fi thriller Repossession Mambo, according to a report in Variety.

Schreiber, who is also set to star as William Stryker in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, is the latest actor to join the project, which is based on Eric Garcia's book of the same name.

The story revolves around a repo man (Law) who specializes in reclaiming artificial organs and is forced to go on the run after he steals his own replacement part. Scrieber will portray his boss.

Jake Gyllenhaal to Portray Joe Namath

Tom Brady may make headlines these days for dating Gisele Bundchen.

And Tony Romo may be in the news a lot for dating, well, we can't keep track of which Hollywood hottie he's with at the moment.

But the first celebrity quarterback of all-time was unquestionably Joe Namath. And fans will get a chance to learn about the former Jets star now that Jake Gyllenhaal has signed up to portray him in an upcoming biopic.

s-jake-large.jpg

Producers have long been after Namath for a movie, but he only recently agreed after a strong pitch by writer David Hollander (The Guardian) and the understanding that Gyllenhaal would star.

Namath was the highly popular quarterback of the New York Jets from 1965-1976 and achieved legendary status for his bold prediction that his Jets would beat the seemingly invincible Colts in Super Bowl III.

Matthew Perry Joins Zac Efron in Seventeen

Because Big and Like Father Like Son aren't enough, Matthew Perry and Zac Efron have signed on to star in Seventeen, a movie that sounds just like the aforementioned films.

Perry will play the older version of Efron in the upcoming age-switch movie.. The flick will star Perry as a smart ass father who wakes up and finds that he's back to his 17-year-old self. Sounds familiar?

New Line is boasting that the film "turns the concept of Big on its head," but we're not entirely sure how. Anyway, Leslie Mann, the wife of comedic genius Judd Apatow, is will also star in the unoriginal movie.

The Juno Movie Trailer

We can't wait for Juno.

It looks like this year's Little Miss Sunshine, adorable and hilarious. See for yourself:
