X-Files Two Spoilers: Plot Details Revealed

With Mulder and Scully on the run, X-Files 2 is rumored to star many new characters. Here's a rundown of other plot details we've learned about this upcoming sequel:

Set in a non-descript town, the film opens with an investigation into an alleged Frankenstein-type named Dr. Donarra. According to a former patient, the man's crazy: he keeps fetuses in a jar, while toying with the organs of extra terrestrials.

Later on, mysterious doctor requests a private conversation with his secretary, Vanessa. There's something strange about this chick, however; she refers to herself in the third person , as if she's merely taken over Vanessa's body and is supposed to be taking her "medicine" to cloak whatever Donarra's wants cloaked.

That's all we know for now. But Mulder and Scully first appear after about 30 minutes.

More From Heath Ledger on Playing The Joker

As previously reported, Heath Ledger appears in the latest issue of Empire Magazine as The Joker.

Here are a couple excerpts from the interview the actor gave in that issue:

On a great deal of trepidation when approached for the part of The Joker: "I definitely feared it. Anything that makes me afraid I guess excites me at the same time. I don't know if I was fearless, but I certainly had to put on a brave face and believe that I have something up my sleeve. Something different."

The Joker Picture

On how he prepared the Joker's sinister voice and laugh: "I sat around in a hotel room in London for about a month, locked myself away, formed a little diary and experimented with voices â€" it was important to try to find a somewhat iconic voice and laugh. I ended up landing more in the realm of a psychopath â€" someone with very little to no conscience towards his acts.

He's just an absolute sociopath, a cold-blooded, mass-murdering clown, and Chris [Nolan] has given me free rein. Which is fun because there are no real boundaries to what The Joker would say or do. Nothing intimidates him, and everything is a big joke."

Keri Russell Set to Tell Bedtime Stories

Keri Russell has signed on to co-star alongside Adam Sandler in Bedtime Stories.

The actress will play a potential love interest for Sandler's character, a harried real estate developer whose life is suddenly turned upside down when the lavish bedtime stories he tells his niece and nephew become real.

Russell Crowe: In for State of Play

After being linked with the project for the past week, Russell Crowe has agreed to step in for Brad Pitt in the political thriller State of Play.

Pitt dropped out last week over script concerns, hurling the remake of the British miniseries into a state of flux.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Crowe is now in "final negotiations" to star opposite Edward Norton, Helen Mirren, Rachel McAdams, Robin Wright Penn, and Jason Bateman in the film.

The paper reports: "Macdonald spent the weekend in Australia wooing Crowe, who had to see if Play could fit into his schedule; Crowe is scheduled to shoot Universal's Nottingham, the Ridley Scott-directed reimagining of the Robin Hood story."

Crowe "will play a political consultant-turned-journalist who heads a newspaper's murder investigation involving a fast-rising politician (Norton)."

The Incredible Hulk Director Dishes on New Villains

The Incredible Hulk director Louis Leterrier says his film will provide a "fresh start" for the Marvel icon's movie career, and that it will be "more comic book-based and TV show-based" than Ang Lee's 2003 Hulk.

In an interview with WizardUniverse.com, Leterrier also spoke about the film's villains, Abomination (Tim Roth) and General "Thunderbolt" Ross (William Hurt, who replaces Sam Elliott in the role).

Norton/Hulk

"Obviously, General Ross is the villain, so he had to be in it," Leterrier said. "But the Abomination, Emil Blonsky, was who Marvel wanted to put in this chapterâ€"the first chapter of our new sagaâ€"because he's the most famous. He's an enemy that can actually threaten the Hulk."

The filmmaker added:

"It's very important for me that there is a danger. When Bruce Banner is Hulk, I didn't feel in Ang Lee's Hulk that there was any threat. He was invincible. So with Abomination there's actually a monster that can, you know, kill him when he's in the Hulk form."

The Incredible Hulk opens June 13, 2008.
